What in the pyramid holds it on skin
Long-lasting perfumes are built on heavy, slow molecules. Kingdom's base is made of them.
- Labdanum: a sticky amber resin that evaporates slowly.
- Ambergris: warm, salty and persistent. It also helps the other notes cling.
- Musk: soft, skin-like and very slow to fade.
- Amber xtreme: a strong amber material that gives the base weight.
The heart adds styrax and benzoin, two more resins. Only the top (ambrette, elemi, vetiver, hibiscus) is light, and it is gone within the first hour. After that you wear resin, which is why the scent changes so little between hour four and hour eight.

Avoid silk. 3. Do not rub. Rubbing breaks the quiet opening before it has formed. 4. Be patient in the first hour. Kingdom opens green and cool, so people spray more. Wait.
