Amjad Coral vs Qasida Senses: what is different in the notes

Bergamot and pear are shared by name. In Coral they sit with mandarin and ginger and stay crisp. In Senses they sit with raspberry, red berries and orange essence and turn juicy. Coral has one flower, orange blossom, between its fruit and its wood. Senses has a whole bouquet of rose, peony, iris and lily of the valley, with vanilla and coconut warming the heart.

The first hour and the dry-down

Coral starts clean and a little sharp. Pear, bergamot and mandarin come first, with ginger giving it a dry edge. The heart is quiet, and the base is cedar, musk, Ambrofix and Akigalawood. It ends light and woody.

Senses starts with sparkle. Jasmine, pear, raspberry and pink pepper lead, and the fruit is soft rather than tart. Within an hour the florals open: damask rose, peony, iris, with bourbon vanilla and coconut underneath. The dry-down is white musk, sandalwood, patchouli and woody notes, still soft and a little sweet.
