How long does FAAN Qasida Queen last? Wearing time, projection and how to stretch it

Quick answer: How long does FAAN Qasida Queen last? It is rated 4 out of 5 for longevity, so as a typical range for an Eau de Parfum expect around six to eight hours on skin and a day or more on clothes. Hours vary with skin, weather and sprays. Projection is also 4 out of 5, so you rarely need more than two or three sprays.
Qasida Queen is sold for her, as a 200 ml Eau de Parfum from the Qasida line. These are the ratings on its product page and general perfume knowledge. We are an independent retailer and we have not run lab tests, so treat every hour figure below as a typical range, not a measurement.
The ratings: longevity 4/5, projection 4/5
Longevity says how long you can smell it. Projection says how far it reaches. Queen scores 4 on both. That is the combination that makes people ask for restraint: it lasts and it carries. For comparison, Amjad Honour is rated 5 out of 5 for longevity, and Qasida Purity is rated 3 for longevity and 2 for projection. Queen sits above the middle of the range on both counts. The full table is in our guide to how long FAAN perfumes last.
What in the pyramid holds it on skin
The base is vanilla, amber, patchouli and coffee. Those are heavy, slow materials. Vanilla and amber cling to skin and fabric. Patchouli is earthy and persistent. Coffee gives the base a dark, roasted weight rather than a sugary one. The heart adds cashmeran, a soft musky-woody material that smooths the join and also lingers.
The top is a different story. Cherry, clove, orange blossom and pink pepper are bright and fade first, usually within the first hour. So do not judge the staying power by the opening. When the cherry steps back, the scent is not disappearing. It is changing into the base.
Realistic wearing time: skin versus clothes
As typical ranges, not test results:
- On skin: around six to eight hours before it turns into a faint warm trace. Dry skin sits at the lower end.
- On clothes: a day or longer. Fabric holds vanilla and amber well, and a coat or scarf can still smell of Queen the next morning.
- Your own nose: you will stop smelling it long before others do. Ask someone you trust, or smell your sleeve.
Weather, skin type and sprays: what changes
Cold keeps a scent close and slow, which suits Queen, listed for autumn and winter. Heat makes it project more and fade sooner. Dry skin loses scent faster than oily skin. More sprays make Queen louder, not longer. With projection at 4, three sprays is already a lot.
Five ways to stretch it, specific to this bottle
- Moisturise first. An unscented lotion on clean skin gives the vanilla and amber something to hold on to. Our piece on whether moisturiser makes perfume last longer goes into it.
- Spray fabric once. A scarf, collar or coat lining holds the gourmand base for days. Test an inside seam first on silk or pale fabric.
- Do not rub. Rubbing wrists breaks the cherry and clove opening early.
- Spray the back of the neck. It is warm, sheltered and out of your own nose's way.
- Keep the bottle cool and dark. Heat flattens patchouli and coffee first, and a flat base means less staying power.
When and where to reapply
Most people will not need to. If you are out from afternoon to late night, put one spray on clothes after five or six hours, not on skin. A second round on skin makes the sweetness louder without adding hours. For a long evening, Queen at the start is usually enough.
Queen is listed for date nights and special occasions, which is where its strength helps. For a flat-out all-day option, look at which FAAN perfume to choose, and see all fourteen bottles if you want to compare. If Queen shows as sold out, ask to be notified on the product page.
