Perfume delivery to Austria: what it costs and how long it takes

Faan Perfumes is an independent retailer of FAAN fragrances, based in the Netherlands, and Austria is one of the 25 countries we deliver to. Here is what to expect.

Delivery time 5 to 8 working days

Processing is the time we need to prepare your order before it goes to the carrier: 2 to 3 working days for Austria. Transport starts when the parcel is handed over and takes 3 to 5 working days. Add them and you get 5 to 8 working days in total. These are estimates for normal conditions. Weekend orders are processed on the next working day, and public holidays and busy periods can add time.

Austria is inside the EU, so there is no customs clearance for the parcel.

GLS standard: price

There is one shipping option for Austria: standard GLS at 15 euros. You see it at checkout before you pay, and the amount shown at the time of your order is the one that applies.

Free shipping exists only for the Netherlands, from 75 euros. For Austria, shipping is always charged. The table shows a single bottle, and checkout has the final word for bigger orders. The bottles are Amjad Coral, Amjad Honour and Qasida Signature, all 200 ml. If one shows as sold out, ask to be notified on the product page.

Delivery attempts and neighbours

How often GLS tries to deliver and whether the driver may leave a parcel with a neighbour are carrier rules, not ours. Your tracking link and the carrier's notifications show what happened. Please check your address carefully when you order. We can change it only until the parcel has been handed to the carrier. If a parcel comes back because it was not collected or was refused, we contact you to agree on a new delivery or a cancellation. The cost of sending it again is yours.

Tracking

Where the shipping service supports tracking, the dispatch confirmation email contains a tracking link. If you did not receive one, or the tracking does not update, email us with your order number through the contact page.

Which bottle for the Austrian seasons

Winters in much of Austria are properly cold, and summers can be warm. Two bottles cover that. For the cold months, Amjad Honour (frankincense, saffron, oud, listed for autumn and winter) or Qasida Signature (praline, vanilla, amber). For the warm ones, Amjad Coral (pear, bergamot, cedar). If you order both, you also order twice the weight in one parcel, so check the shipping total at checkout.

Returns from Austria

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to withdraw, without giving a reason, as long as the bottle is still sealed. You pay the cost of sending it back, unless the bottle is defective or we sent the wrong one. Because the parcel travels back to the Netherlands, use a tracked service and keep the proof of posting.
