Perfume delivery to France: Mondial Relay, GLS and DHL options

Faan Perfumes is an independent retailer of FAAN fragrances, based in the Netherlands, and France is one of the 25 countries we deliver to. Here is how the options compare.

Delivery time 5 to 8 working days

Processing takes 2 to 3 working days. Transport then takes 3 to 5 working days. That gives 5 to 8 working days in total, for normal conditions. Pickup point delivery is slower than home delivery, so the long end of the range is more likely there. Weekend orders are processed on the next working day, and public holidays and busy periods can add time.

Mondial Relay pickup versus GLS home

The difference between pickup and home delivery is 1.59 euros. If you are home during the day, or have a safe place for a parcel, home delivery is quicker for one cup of coffee. If nobody is home, a pickup point near your work or your home may suit you better, and you collect on your schedule within the window the point gives you.

DHL option

DHL France costs 11.75 euros, 1.76 euros more than GLS or FedEx home delivery. It is there for people who prefer DHL, for a tracking habit or for an address DHL serves better. The carrier does not change the delivery estimate we quote.

Choosing a pickup point after payment

If you choose Mondial Relay, the name of the option says it: select your pickup point after payment. Watch your email after you order. The point and the collection window are set by Mondial Relay, not by us. Collect it as soon as you can, and ask us if you are unsure.

A worked example

Say you order on a Monday. We process the order over the next 2 to 3 working days and hand it to the carrier on the Wednesday or Thursday. Transport then takes 3 to 5 working days. In that case expect the parcel between the following Monday and the Thursday after that, with pickup points near the later end. Mondial Relay is a network of local pickup points, often in shops and newsagents, so there is usually one close by. Our pick for most people is home delivery: it is the one marked fastest, and it is the one that does not depend on your opening hours.

What it costs in total

The table shows one bottle. Checkout has the final say on bigger orders. The bottles are Amjad Coral, Amjad Honour and Qasida Signature, all 200 ml. If one shows as sold out, ask to be notified on the product page.

Returns from France

Withdrawing works the same in France as everywhere in the EU: 14 days after the day your order arrives, no reason needed, as long as the seal is intact. Return postage is yours, unless the bottle is defective or the wrong one. Send it to the Netherlands with tracking and keep the receipt. Read returns and refunds or the shipping and returns page.
