Perfume gift for him and for her: how to choose without guessing

Most FAAN bottles are unisex: what that means

Unisex on our product pages means we do not limit a bottle to one gender. The notes decide who likes it: cherry and coffee, praline and almond, pepper and leather. Everything else, including Amjad Honour, Qasida Signature and Qasida Al-Badr, is for whoever likes the smell. That makes gifting easier than it looks, as long as you pick by smell, not by label.

How to ask the right question before buying

Gender is the weakest clue. Ask yourself three things instead.

What do they wear now? Sweet, fresh, woody or smoky? Check the bottle on the shelf or the candle they burn.
When do they wear it? Daily at work, or evenings and weekends?
How loud should it be? If they hate being noticed, stay at projection 3 or below. If they like presence, 4 is fine.

Write the notes on the card. A line such as "pear, peony and soft vanilla" or "pepper, smoke and dry leather" tells the person what to expect and shows you chose with care.
