Qasida Sahm starts fruity and ends woody. You smell mango, raspberry and citrus, then lavender and cedar, then oud and leather. It is a good choice for spring and autumn, by day or in the evening. The strength is medium to strong. It is sold as a men's fragrance.
Sahm is Arabic for arrow. This fragrance starts bright and fruity and ends dark and woody. It starts with mango, raspberry and citrus, then turns woodier.
The top is juicy: mango, lemon, pink berries, ginger, green mandarin and bergamot. The heart brings in jasmine, lavender, clary sage, cardamom and cedar, which gives it an aromatic feel. By the base it has gone deep: oud, leather accord, vetiver and amber, with musk and nagarmotha to soften the edge.
FAAN presents Sahm as a fragrance for men, and it wears that way. It is confident without being heavy, so it fits the day as well as the evening. Spring and autumn are its best months, when it is neither too hot nor too cold. One or two sprays on the chest or neck are enough.
