About this fragrance
Qasida Bidaya is warm, spicy and resinous. You smell saffron, bergamot and cardamom first, then opoponax and cedar, then vanilla, benzoin and leather. Wear it in autumn and winter, in the evening. It is an Extrait with medium strength. It suits men and women.
Bidaya is the Arabic word for beginning, and this Qasida starts with saffron. The bottle is pale champagne gold with a textured geometric pattern and a grey rope-style collar.
Saffron, bergamot and cardamom open the scent with a warm, golden spice. In the heart, opoponax brings a sweet, balsamic resin and cedarwood keeps it dry. The base is vanilla bean and benzoin with leather and white musk, smooth and soft, with a slight leather edge.
It is an Extrait de Parfum, so it lasts, and a light hand is enough. It suits autumn, winter and evenings. The mix of resin, spice and vanilla works on men and women, and it is easy to like if you enjoy warm, creamy oriental scents. It also works well under a coat, because the warmth builds slowly rather than arriving all at once.
