How long does FAAN Amjad Honour last? Wearing time, projection and how to stretch it

FAAN Amjad Honour Extrait de Parfum 200 ml bottle

Quick answer: How long does FAAN Amjad Honour last? Our rating is 5 out of 5 for longevity and 4 out of 5 for projection, which makes it one of the longest-lasting bottles in the range. As a typical guide for an Extrait with a resinous base, count on a full evening on skin and a day or more on fabric. Those are typical ranges, not lab figures.

FAAN Amjad Honour is a 200 ml Extrait de Parfum and one of our best sellers. The ratings below come from its product page. Hours are only ever rough, because skin, weather and spray count change them.

How long does FAAN Amjad Honour last? The ratings

Longevity 5 means the scent is still clearly there when most of the range has faded. Projection 4 means people near you will notice it, so it is not a skin scent. Only Amjad Kingdom matches it at 5 for longevity. If you want the numbers for every bottle in one place, our longevity guide for the whole range lists them.

What holds it on your skin

Perfume lasts because of its heavy molecules, and Honour is built on them. The base is vanilla, amber, oud, ambergris and benzoin. Benzoin is a sticky resin, amber is warm and dense, and ambergris is the kind of note that clings to skin for hours. The top notes are another story: lemon, cardamom and Sichuan pepper are gone in minutes. Frankincense and elemi last a bit longer, and then the heart of patchouli, rose and saffron carries you into the base.

So the first hour is sharp and bright, hours two to four are spiced and floral, and the long tail is warm resin.

Realistic wearing time: skin versus clothes

Skin warms a perfume and lets it evaporate. Fabric does not. A typical Extrait on skin gives roughly an evening, around eight hours of noticeable scent, before it turns into a close, soft trace. On a cotton shirt or wool scarf the resin side can still be there the next morning. Do not read these as promises. Dry skin lets scent go faster, oily skin holds it longer, and your nose stops noticing after a while, so ask someone you trust.

Weather, skin type and sprays: what changes

  • Cold air keeps Honour close and slow. It is the weather it was listed for: autumn and winter.
  • Heat pushes it out fast and makes it louder, not longer. See our note on wearing Honour in summer.
  • Dry skin shortens everything. Unscented lotion first gives the oil something to hold.
  • More sprays make it louder, not longer. Two is enough for projection 4.

Five ways to stretch it

  1. Moisturise after the shower, then spray on warm skin at the chest and the sides of the neck.
  2. Put one spray on the inside of a jacket or a scarf. The resin sits on wool for days.
  3. Do not rub your wrists together. It crushes the opening and makes the first hour shorter.
  4. Store the bottle in a cool, dark cupboard with the cap closed, so the top notes stay sharp.
  5. Wait before judging it. Honour smells thin for a moment around the two hour mark, then the base arrives.

When and where to reapply

Most people never need to. If you do, wait until the evening and use one spray on clothes, not skin, so you refresh the resin without doubling the opening. A small atomiser works for a long dinner. For a quieter day bottle, Amjad Coral is rated 3 for longevity and is easier to refresh. Not sure which bottle fits you? FAQ

Does Amjad Honour last all day?

It is rated 5 out of 5 for longevity, so it can carry from afternoon through the evening. Typical guidance is hours of clear scent on skin, longer on clothes.

How many sprays should I use?

Two. The projection is already 4 out of 5, and a third spray adds noise, not time.

Why can I not smell it after a few hours?

Your nose gets used to a steady scent. Others near you can often still smell it.
